Greenville, South Carolina — Jon Colberg has joined Isomer Project Group as a Senior Project Engineer, adding to Isomer's extensive process and mechanical expertise. Jon is a licensed professional engineer (PE) with diverse experience in heavy industrial facility design, including significant recent experience in the Energy Transition fields. He has served as a lead Mechanical/Process Engineer and department leader while also managing projects as a Project Engineer and Project Manager. In these positions, he has successfully led and supported multiple EPC projects, from $10 million to $300 million, in industries including Green Hydrogen, Biomass to Liquids, Pulp and Paper, and Specialty Chemicals.
"I've known and worked with Jon for almost ten years on many different projects in a variety of business sectors," says Drew Carter, a staff engineer with the company. Before joining Isomer, Jon was a lead process/mechanical engineer for Ford, Bacon and Davis and S&B Engineers & Constructors. During his tenure, he transitioned to the mechanical department lead, where he was primarily responsible for the group's execution of mid-to-large capital projects. He has experience in engineering design, procurement, and construction support for multiple industries, specifically including PFD and P&ID development, process equipment design, procurement, pipe stress analysis, construction support, and project management. Jon has developed a keen ability to own the entire project lifecycle. His attention to detail, understanding of project execution techniques, and ability to collaborate with clients and team members alike have given him valuable attributes to act as the guiding force wherever he is enlisted.
