This project included detailed design and procurement support for the main polysilicon production building, the largest project on the campus of a multi-billion-dollar greenfield manufacturing site. The entire manufacturing site was designed and constructed as part of one coordinate program. The polysilicon production facility has a heavy chemical and utility piping/equipment scope arranged in pre-cast concrete and steel structures. Scope included construction design documentation, support for equipment procurement, and design coordination with an extensive client team to ensure a cohesive effort. Like a medium-size EPC company, the project organization consisted of several layers and was matrixed across projects and disciplines. This abnormal project organization structure added a level of complexity to the overall execution, requiring everyone in a management role to stay strictly coordinated and keep their respective teams informed and well lead.
