This project included front-end engineering services and project development support for a new three-stage feedstock cleaning/storage system at an existing non-wood ag-based pulping and molding facility. The new system was designed to support a future plant expansion capacity of 75TPD while still being compatible with the lower current production tonnage. The project included raw material transport, foreign material removal, mechanical screening, wet storage and cleaning, and interfacing to the existing production facility. The front-end engineering package included a heat and material balance, P&IDs, site layout drawings, single-lines, and detailed scope and basis of design documents which serve as a basis for future development and funding. The team focused on developing traditional and novel waste stream solutions aligned with the project’s risk tolerance and sustainability goals.
