Detailed design and engineering support for a $45 million containerboard machine rebuild program at an existing facility to reduce energy consumption, increase production, broaden product range, and improve product quality. The project featured a state-of-the-art shoe press to replace the original press section. Additionally, the scope included drive upgrades, replacing the existing top-wire former with iTables, replacing machine screens, dryer section and reel/winder modifications and re-builds, and reinforcing the existing house crane and building structure to accommodate a new, higher capacity crane. The scope of services included structural dynamics analysis and reinforcing of the existing structural steel machine track and operating floor to accommodate the newly updated and modernized machine.
