This project included front-end engineering and project development support for a brownfield non-wood ag-based pulping and molding facility. The facility was designed to provide a finished product capacity of 15,000 bone-dry metric tons per year. The project included raw material handling, a modified traditional pulping line with auxiliary equipment, ag-pulp storage, a repulping and blending line, molded fiber thermoforming lines, and finished product storage. The front-end engineering package produced in support of EPC bids included a heat and material balance, P&IDs based on two major vendor packages, general arrangements, single-line, control systems architecture, and detailed scope write-up for modifications to the existing facility to accommodate the project. Project management deliverables such as execution plan, level 2 schedule, and risk analysis were also developed as part of the scope. An integrated team, including a shortlisted EPC contractor, created a complete capital cost estimate and a detailed proposal for complete project execution. All of these deliverables were packaged and provided in support of project funding.
