This effort included providing information for preparation and approval of permits to close a manufacturing facility, conducting an on-site chemical inventory, and sampling materials to support the facility's closure. The entire effort also addressed the on-site wastewater treatment plant. The project tasks included a facility asbestos sampling exercise and report, site process layout and chemical inventory exercise, hazardous and non-hazardous chemical sampling, coordination with the state environmental agency, and oversight of the closure of the facility wastewater treatment plant. The chemical sampling included analyzing detailed lab reports to determine the most efficient and safe disposal method. This unique project required an agile management plan due to facility damage from a fire and multiple stakeholders involved in the facility's closure.
