This effort included detailed design and construction support for a $300 million, full-scale Ethylene Oxide production facility. The design included all engineering disciplines required to integrate a new turnkey Ethylene Oxide production plant that supplies EO to an adjacent surfactant production facility. Multiple reactor columns, heat exchangers, vessels, and pumps key to the EO production process were added to a greenfield site along the Delaware River. Due to proximity to the river and regulations related to EO production, special permitting was required. Balance of plant equipment including cooling towers, gas compressors, nitrogen vaporizers, a steam compressor, a plant flare system, and product storage bullets were also added. New MCC buildings, gas analyzer systems, and control systems were included and integrated into the existing plant.
