This effort included the detailed design, procurement, and construction management for a $80 million brownfield polymer manufacturing facility expansion. The design included all engineering disciplines, equipment and component procurement, and construction management and supervision. Effort included developing and managing the construction subcontract packages from the bid process through to mechanical completion, working closely with the owner’s procurement team. This fast-tracked, design-build project included a challenging site with highly compressible gulf coast clay soils, requiring extensive ground improvement measures before building the infrastructure. The project included a fast-track execution with 2 new process buildings, rail and truck loading and unloading, raw material and finished product storage, a large pipe rack and other utility infrastructure for production expansion.
