This effort included the detailed design and construction support to install a River Water Intake System and Raw Water Treatment system to support an Ammonium Nitrate Solution (ANSol) plant in Tennessee. Piping design and construction support was also provided for the facility. The design included all engineering disciplines and installed a river water intake system on the Nolichucky River, 13 miles of pipeline to deliver water to the raw water pond on-site, and a raw water treatment system/building. Before being delivered to new storage tanks, river water was treated in a clarifier, multimedia filters, and an RO system. Settling ponds were also installed to handle RO system rejects and clarifier sludge. In addition, construction support services and piping design services were provided to aid the site team in installing large reciprocating compressor systems, ANSol storage tanks, an exhaust stack, and ammonia storage bullets at the new plant site.
