Matt began his career in process engineering upon graduation from the University of Washington. Before moving into project management, he was a lead process engineer and project engineer. He has worked in manufacturing and various engineering consulting environments. Matt has 27 years of experience in the specialty chemicals, biofuels, and pulp and paper businesses. His expertise includes process design, project engineering, and project management. He has significant experience in pulp and paper operations, maintenance, and process design relating to chip handling, pulping, bleaching, recovery, and steam generation. Matt has experience working with clients on technology development and deployment, and his technical and engineering skills, developed in consulting and mill environments, have been applied to a full range of projects, from conceptual studies to detailed design.
Matt and his wife, Christine, have two children studying at the University of Georgia and a dog named Piper at home in Sharpsburg, Georgia. Christine works for Hallmark in their greeting card business—the Worleys love to travel and enjoy outdoor activities. Matt enjoys playing cards, tinkering with automobiles, hiking, and exploring outside.
