This effort included the detailed design, material procurement, construction planning and construction management for a $3 million brownstock washing system upgrade. The scope included major interior modifications to three field-erected stock tanks, removal, and replacement of two agitators/foundations per tank and removal and replacement of four large stock pumps/foundations along with modified piping, electrical and control for the system. Pre-outage construction work and weeks of detailed planning preceded an intense period of five separate outages over a month-and-a-half. Facility continued to operate throughout the outage work which required close coordination with mill personnel to shift production priorities. Each outage was completed, and systems brought back on-line per agreed project plan and schedule with no impact to ongoing operations.
