Matt began his career as a mechanical engineering student at Clemson University. Through the co-op program, he worked for an auto body company in Anderson, SC, where he passed welding and forklift certifications and learned firsthand the importance of designing with fabrication in mind; and later during a co-op rotation he also worked for a leader in the automotive industry at their research and development center. Upon graduation, he continued in the automotive industry serving as a product engineer before moving into EPC project management and leading capital projects. His leadership has contributed to the successful execution of both the FEL and Detailed Design phases of projects across multiple industries. Matt is passionate about respecting his clients' resources and setting others up for success by maintaining a construction mindset in his engineering projects. You can always hear Matt reminding his project team that "our design is only as good as a contractor can interpret it."
Matt and Leah met after Leah finished her masters through Clemson University in downtown Greenville, SC, where they now reside with their two dogs, Sampson and Goose. Leah enjoys working from home as an account manager for a professional development company. Matt enjoys chipping away at his honey-do list when he isn't working. On any given weekend, you'll find the Vigaris visiting family on Lake Keowee, working on home projects, fellowshipping at church, or around town spoiling their dogs.
