Joshua launched his career in instrumentation and controls after earning a Mechatronics Engineering degree from Southern Polytechnic State University (now Kennesaw State University). He started in the power industry with Southern Company in Atlanta, where he had previously co-oped during college. Later, he moved to Greenville, SC, to join the EPC firm O’Neal Inc., expanding his expertise through projects in the chemicals, non-wovens, and pulp and paper industries. His early work focused on designing and specifying instrumentation and PLC panels, progressing into field startup and commissioning, where he developed and implemented custom PLC programs and HMI screens. Over the years, Joshua has built a robust skill set in team leadership, interdisciplinary communication, client relationship management, and detailed instrumentation and controls design. He is a licensed professional engineer (PE) in control systems and is committed to delivering precise, high-quality results in all that he does.
Since 2016, Joshua and his wife, Megan, have made Greenville home. They have a Basset hound mix, Peanut, and a Maine Coon cat, Obi-wan. Megan recently transitioned from healthcare project management to a career as a full-stack software developer, crafting applications and websites for various clients. Joshua is also pursuing his MBA with a focus on Project Management at the University of South Carolina, aiming to graduate in early 2025.
Outside of work, Joshua enjoys time with Megan, both on and off the golf course, exploring fantasy literature, and taking Peanut (and even Obi-wan) for walks. He also cherishes moments gaming with his brother and father. Joshua and Megan love traveling the world together, embracing new cultures, savoring unique cuisines, and experiencing the beauty each destination offers.
